Personas and mapping
When a team lacks a clear vision of its users, decision-making becomes difficult: discussions revolve around screens and features, rather than what people are truly trying to achieve in their context. You will learn to build useful personas and map a user journey that highlights pain points and opportunities, then transform these findings into actionable priorities.
Who is this module for?
It is for teams that design, manage, or improve digital products and services and want to create a common language about their users to make faster, better decisions. It is particularly relevant for PM/POs, UX/UI designers, product, innovation and transformation teams, marketing/CRM, support, as well as business and tech stakeholders involved in decision-making. It is especially useful if you are launching a redesign, if your user feedback is contradictory, or if priorities are shifting without a clear framework.
What you'll get from it
It helps you move from scattered observations (research, support, analytics, field) to a shared and actionable vision of your users. You will learn to build a persona that truly supports decision-making (instead of 'decorative' profiles), map an 'as-is' journey that makes friction points visible, then transform these findings into clearly formulated opportunities (HMW) and prioritized (impact/effort). The goal: to calm opinion-based debates, secure product choices, and leave with an actionable plan.
What you'll actually learn
- Distinguish between UX and marketing personas, and avoid "decorative personas"
- Build an actionable persona on a single page (goals, needs, pain points, scenario, evidence)
- Frame and map a journey (scope, steps, emotions, pain points, opportunities)
- Transform findings into opportunities (How Might We) and prioritize actions (impact/effort)
- Formulate a concise UX vision (pitch + principles) to guide design and alignment
