UX Maturity
When UX maturity is low, teams end up compensating: rework, gut-feel decisions, inconsistent research, and a hard time proving impact. In contrast, a mature organisation makes better decisions earlier, supported by shared practices and clear benchmarks. In one day, you’ll learn how to assess your organisation’s UX maturity using a recognised model (UX-PM/UXalliance), make gaps explicit, and define priorities you can activate quickly.
Who is this module for?
This module is designed for product and digital leaders, design/UX managers, PMs/POs, engineering leads, and transformation owners, as well as stakeholders in leadership and HR who want to structure a realistic progression. It’s ideal if you’re seeing uneven UX practices, late decisions, friction between teams, or difficulty linking design effort to measurable results.
What you'll get from it
It helps you move beyond “we think” to a clear, evidence-based view of where you are - and where to invest. You’ll assess maturity across six dimensions using observable criteria, align stakeholders around a shared diagnosis, then identify the levers that unlock the most value (rituals, governance, skills, tooling). You’ll leave with a prioritised 90-day plan - without launching a “big programme” - and a simple way to measure impact (outcomes + experience indicators) to secure your investments.
What you'll actually learn
- Assess UX maturity with a multi-dimensional framework and observable criteria
- Calibrate scoring as a group and address perception gaps
- Turn maturity gaps into concrete initiatives (process, roles, standards, tooling)
- Define experience indicators and connect design → outcomes
- Build an executive-ready readout for leadership, plus an upskilling angle for HR

The agenda
An intensive day, structured to alternate between theoretical input and immediate practical application in workshops.
Understanding UX/Design maturity - and why it matters
Spot the signals of low vs high maturity and how they impact product performance.
The UX-PM/UXalliance model (6 dimensions) + market benchmarks
Understand the model, the criteria, and the benchmarks that help you position your organisation.
Self-assessment, calibration and heatmap
Score as a group, compare perspectives, and produce a clear read (heatmap).
Gap analysis: causes and levers
Move from symptoms to root causes (organisation, rituals, governance, skills).
Prioritisation: a 30–60–90 day plan
Turn the diagnosis into realistic initiatives that are prioritised and trackable.
Impact measurement + decision-ready readout
Define how progress will be measured and formalise a readout for leadership / HR.
